If you regularly practice with a band using the same setup, once you’ve dialled in the mix once using the mixer software, you can just bring the interface without the computer next time around.
Why does Focusrite say no hardware connected?
If you launch Focusrite Control and receive an error that says No Hardware Connected, be sure that the USB cable is fully inserted and that the drivers are installed correctly. Can I use focusrite without computer?

Answer: Yes, you need an audio interface, even when you make beats or electronic music. The main reason is because of the audio quality which is needed for professional music production. This quality is lacking in most sound cards shipped in laptop and desktop computers.

Will focusrite work without headphones?

You can connect any class compliant USB audio interface or MIDI controller or keyboard to your iPhone or iPad. Most class compliant USB peripherals, audio interfaces, MIDI controllers and keyboards can be connected to the iPhone or iPad using the Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.
Can I use focusrite as a preamp?
The Focusrite Scarlett Solo is an audio interface with a preamp to amplify the microphone’s signal. Not all audio interfaces have built-in preamps, but the Focusrite Scarlett Solo does. Additionally, you can also use a dedicated preamp with the Solo.
How do I update the firmware of my Focusrite control interface?
If a firmware update is needed, a dialogue box will appear when you first open Focusrite Control, as long as your interface is connected to the computer. Please proceed will installing the firmware if prompted to. If no firmware update is needed and your interface already has the latest firmware installed, the dialogue box will not appear.

This new product marries two of the Liquid preamps with Focusrite’s Saffire Pro audio interface technology. They may have dropped the ‘Pro’ from the name, but the result is far from amateur. The preamp emulations are selected via the Saffire Mix Control software, which also includes a useful tabbed mixer.

Can I use the liquid Saffire 56 as my main audio interface?
One issue — at least for those who have already invested in nice interfaces — is that you can only use the Liquid preamps with the Liquid Saffire 56 acting as your main audio interface. Despite the inclusion of plenty of digital I/O, there’s currently no way in which to use it to augment your existing setup.
