We don’t have any paid members, they’re all volunteers.

What do I need to be a blood biker?

  1. Aged 25 or over.
  2. Full A category (big bike) driving licence for 2 years or more.
  3. Acceptable riding history (acceptable to our insurers)
  4. Have a suitable location to park the bike at home for time on shift, or work from one of the ambulance stations where we are based on shift.

All drivers must over 25 years of age, also must have a clean licence with no pending issues. We will provide all volunteers with a hi-viz vest for fundraising activity.

You can be a Controller taking calls from the hospitals or as a Fundraiser or as a driver, some groups have their own cars, some require advanced qualification.
