- Open your main Android TV menu, which should look similar to the below screenshot.
- Select the Google Play Store.
- Scroll to the top of your screen and select the Search icon.
- Enter Plex into the search field and perform the search.
- Select Plex from the search results and select Install.
Can I get Plex on my smart TV?
The Plex for Smart TVs app is available on a wide range of television models by different manufacturers. We regularly review the functionality and performance of our app on new and existing smart TV platforms to determine which to support.
Can I add apps to Philips Smart TV?
Download apps from the Google Play Store Apart from the Philips App Store, you can download and install additional apps from the Google Play Store. This is only possible if you are using an Android-powered Philips Smart TV. Select the app you want to add. Click Install.
Why won’t Plex work on my smart TV?
Ensure you have the current version of Plex Media Server installed. Ensure that Plex Media Server is actually actively running. Verify that your Server is listed on your Devices page. Make sure you aren’t requiring secure connections on the server while using an app that doesn’t support them (see below)
How do I activate Plex on my TV?
In your browser on your desktop or mobile device, go to and ensure that you’re signed into the appropriate Plex account. Enter the 4-character code and submit. After the code is submitted, your player app will refresh itself a few seconds later and be linked with your account.
How do I install 3rd party apps on my Philips Smart TV?
To access and install other apps on your LG or Philips smart TV, all you have to do is navigate to the LG or Philips app store. Browse through the selections and select the app that you want to download and add to your smart TV. Install it and enjoy streaming at any time.
