What kind of prison is MSDF?
Institution Information. MSDF is a medium-security correctional facility located in downtown Milwaukee. The facility opened its doors to inmates on October 8, 2001, and initially housed only Division of Community Corrections (DCC) inmates who had violated their community supervision.

What programs are available to PIOCS at MSDF?
While at MSDF, PIOC can attend GED classes led by certified teachers. Several have attained their full GED while staffed at MSDF. In addition, there is limited programming available for eligible PIOC including short term sanction programming, Substance Use Disorders, Thinking for a Change and Domestic Violence.
