Polymer clay is not glossy after baking. You can sand, buff, and polish the clay itself (see below), or you can apply a glossy varnish. To make your clay project less shiny, you could apply a matte varnish. Note that adding a glossy varnish can make translucent polymer clay seem more clear.
Is Fimo clay waterproof?

Do you have to bake Fimo clay?

What is the best way to store Fimo clay?
Our air-drying FIMOair modelling clay is best stored in an airtight screw-top jar, with two to three sprays of water. In contrast, our oven-hardening FIMO clay does not have to be stored in an airtight container, however it must be protected from dust and stored at room temperature away from sunlight and heat.
