To use:
- bathe or shower, then dry yourself thoroughly;
- apply the medication all over your body, from your neck to your toes;
- leave the medication on for 12 hours, then rinse it off thoroughly.
Can I use permethrin lotion everyday?
Apply the lotion behind the ears and at the back of your neck and cover all the hair. Keep the lotion on the hair and scalp for at least 10 minutes. Rinse the hair with warm water. Don’t use shower or bathtub for washing your hair or the lotion can spread over the body.
Should I shower before applying permethrin cream?
A bath or shower is NOT recommended before applying this medicine. Thoroughly rub the cream into all skin surfaces, from your head to the soles of your feet. It is important to apply it everywhere on your body, not just where the rash is.
How do you use perm lotion?
Apply a thin layer of this medicine all over the body and leave it for 8-14 hours before taking a bath or shower. Avoid getting it in your eyes, nose or mouth. If this happens, rinse with water immediately.
What is Kwellada lotion?
Kwellada-P® lotion is a body lotion for the treatment of scabies. With one treatment, Kwellada-P® lotion kills scabies mites and their eggs.
What do scabies feed off of?
Scabies is caused by mites that burrow under the upper layer of human skin, feeding on blood and laying eggs. Scabies is extremely itchy and causes gray lines on your skin along with red bumps.
How many times can you use permethrin lotion?
Permethrin lotion is usually applied to the skin in one or two treatments, but occasionally three treatments are necessary. If live mites are seen two weeks (14 days) after the first treatment with permethrin cream, then a second treatment should be applied.
What happens after permethrin treatment?
Skin irritation, including itching, swelling, and redness, may occur with scabies and temporarily worsen after treatment with permethrin. Mild burning or stinging may also occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
How quickly does permethrin work?
Once permethrin is absorbed, it quickly moves throughout the body. The greatest amounts of permethrin have been found 3 to 4 hours after it was eaten. Permethrin leaves the body mainly in the urine, but may also be in the feces.
Can you straighten a perm?
Yes, you can straighten a perm, but not immediately after a perm. That’s because your hair is extremely delicate when relaxed and can break easily if not carefully handled. Heat and pulling that are the main features of straightening, do not please do to the hair.
