JetBrains adopted a subscription-based licensing model for selected products on November 2, 2015. This new model allows our customers to purchase monthly and yearly subscriptions for one or more products.
How do I get a free Jetbrain license?
A student can request their free subscription at and then renew it annually for free until they graduate. Upon graduation, JetBrains provides all the students with a 25% graduation discount.
Can I use my JetBrains license at home?
Yes, you can use your personal license at work as well as at home. You can use it working on your personal projects as well as your projects in your company. Our EULAs do not restrict this.
Is JetBrains code free?
Code With Me is free for any guests who join the collaborative sessions. Hosts can also use the free Community plan.
Should I buy IntelliJ IDEA?
If you’re employed as a software engineer and JetBrains products are warranted, your employer will almost certainly buy them for you. If you’re gainfully self-employed and JetBrains tools are needed, you can surely afford them.
Is IntelliJ idea free?
IntelliJ IDEA is available in the following editions: Community Edition is free and open-source, licensed under Apache 2.0. It provides all the basic features for JVM and Android development. IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate is commercial, distributed with a 30-day trial period.
Can I use JetBrains on multiple computers?
Yes. Under our current subscription model, you may run multiple personal licensed copies of the IDE at the same time across multiple operating systems (like on laptop and desktop for remote debugging client/server apps). You may use different IDEs from an All Products pack license simultaneously on multiple machines.
Can I use my JetBrains student license at work?
Yes, we do. Students and teachers are eligible to use the JetBrains All Products Pack (which includes IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, ReSharper Ultimate, as well as our other IDEs and tools) free of charge for educational purposes. Educational licenses cannot be used for commercial purposes.
How do I activate code with me license?
In the Licenses dialog, select Code With Me. From the options on the right, select Activate New License. From the options on the right, select License server. Add the server address and click Activate.
Is PyCharm code free?
The service provided by Code With Me is available in both the PyCharm Professional and Community editions, and is free of charge during the PyCharm Early Access Program (EAP). You can obtain the Code With Me plugin here. In PyCharm 2020.3, the Code With Me plugin can be downloaded.
How can I get a free JetBrains license?

Non-commercial open source projects can qualify for free licenses to all JetBrains tools if they meet the support program requirements. Universities and accredited educational institutions can take advantage of our 50% discount on commercial subscriptions for development of internal projects and applications.
What is the JetBrains graduation discount?
Student license holders can get a 25% Graduation discount, which can be used towards the purchase of a new personal subscription for any single JetBrains product or for the All Products pack. The same 25% Graduation discount is offered to students of coding bootcamps and training courses who have used free coupon codes during their training.
