How do you get to Fire Island from NYC?
To oversimplify, think of Fire Island as a tiny, beachy Manhattan. To get here, take the LIRR to Sayville for eastern towns (including Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines) and from Bayshore for western towns–then catch a ferry from there.
