When should you start applying for sixth form?
When to Apply for Sixth Form If you plan to move to a new school or college, planning and applying usually starts around 18 months before the start of the Year 12 academic year. Most selective sixth forms will carry out face-to-face interview, and some independent schools may require pupils to sit an exam too.

Can you get into sixth form with 4 GCSEs?
Sixth forms or colleges in Norfolk require different qualifications and/or qualities to access them. If you want to do a Level 3 course, you’ll usually need at least four GCSEs at grade 4 or better. If you are looking at Level 2 courses, you might be asked for some grade 4s or 3s at GCSE.
Can I accept more than one sixth form offer?
For sixth form colleges, you apply to them individually. And they can all offer you a place, and you can accept them all. Obviously you can’t go to them all, though, so on GCSE results day, or whatever date you’ve been given, you go and enrol at one of them.
Why is sixth form better than college?
Sixth forms are smaller and tend to provide more structure and support than colleges. In some cases the standard of teaching in academic subjects will be higher in a sixth form or sixth form college than at an FE college. Also, a disabled student will already know how their school accommodates disabled pupils.

Can 14 year olds go to college UK?
Home educated young people aged 14-16 in England are able to attend college and the Government (ie the Education Skills Funding Agency) will pay for the course. These students can do any course agreed by the college, not just a designated 14-16 course, although many colleges still don’t offer GCSE courses.
