    1) Prepare the AR-10, 308 AR Upper Receiver For Assembly. 2) Prepare the 308 Stripped Receiver. Mount the stripped upper to the “Claw” and insert the two retaining pins. The pins require a slight tapping from a hammer. 3) Install The .308 Barrel In The Upper Receiver. Installing the barrel is pretty straight forward. 4) Install AR Barrel Nut.     Gather the Items You’ll Need

  • Remove the Magazine. The second step is to remove any gear.
  • Pull the Charging Handle to the Rear. The next step is to unload the rifle and cock it for appropriate disassembly.
  • Locate the Rear Take-Down Pin. Find the rear take-down pin on the left side of the weapon. Push this pin out using a small screwdriver or pointed tool.
  • Slide the Bolt Carrier Out of the Rifle. The fifth step is to remove the bolt carrier group (BCG),slowly pull the charging handle to the rear.
  • Remove the Front Barrel Sideguards. The next step is to grab the round release ring located in front of the magazine to remove the front barrel side guards.
