Can Rust Oleum LeakSeal be used on wet surfaces?
LeakSeal provides a water-tight, flexible seal that prevents moisture penetration, rust and corrosion. While LeakSeal creates a water-tight finish, it is not recommended for application on wet surfaces. The moisture will be trapped underneath the coating and could cause corrosion or bubbling of the coating.
Is leak seal the same as Flex Seal?
In terms of application, there aren’t any major differences between Flex Seal and Leak Seal sealants. The recommendations for applications are very similar for both products. The surface has to be cleaned and completely dried before the application of the sealant.
How long does Rust Oleum leak seal take to dry?
DRY & RECOAT Dries to the touch in 20-30 minutes, to handle in 45-60 minutes, and can be re-coated with itself in 20-30 minutes. Allow 24 hours for full cure.

Does leak seal work?
It does work for minor leaks, the sort that you top up every month or so and not within a couple of day or even hours. Leak seal sometimes causes problems with trace gas leak detection. The leak seal needs to set in air and reacts to the trace gas as ‘air’ and sets, often fixing the leak but only for a while.
